"Baby" Quilt with Lambs

This quilt measures 35 1/2″ x 52″.  100% cotton pinwale pique fabric with a desired childhood motif is used on one side, with a solid cotton flannel on the other, on which  “Baby” is whimsically machine-embroidered. 100% Dream Cotton is used for the batting.  The quilt is bound with polyester satin blanket binding, and is hand-tied.      $300

"Blue Ribbon Baby" Machine Embroidery

This quilt of luxurious Swiss cotton sateen on both top and bottom measures 45″ x 54″, is machine-embroidered with a design from “Blue Ribbon Baby,” by Karen Bosch for Martha Pullen Company, and is quilted with a decorative machine stitch. 100% Dream Cotton is used for the batting. It is bound with wide silk satin ribbon.  An alternative machine embroidery from my collection may be substituted, and this quilt may be customized with the baby’s name, as well.  Colors of Swiss cotton sateen available are blue, pink, white, and ecru. $400

Forget-Me-Nots

This quilt measures 35″ x 45″. The top is made up of 63 squares, 17 of which are hand-embroidered with roses or other flowers (or to coordinate with your chosen theme) to coordinate with the seven fabrics used in its construction, and 38 squares of which are pieced. Batting is 100% cotton, Dream Cotton. The backing is one of the seven fabrics, and the quilt is bound with another. This throw, of imported 100% handkerchief linen and sashing of Cluny lace insertion, is machine-embroidered with gorgeous reproduction vintage embroideries from Martha Pullen Company, and edged with yards of wide lace edging.  It measures  45″ x 44″.  One square may be customized with the baby’s monogram, if desired, instead of being embroidered with one of the vintage embroideries.  $600

Baby's Hankie Blankie

Yards of French cotton insertion and edging lace trim this adaptation of Sheryl Capp’s “Hankie Blankie” from The Best of Sew Beautiful Christening Gowns. Nine purchased cotton handkerchiefs with extensive hand hemstitching and embroidery form the “fabric” of this throw, and provide a canvas for a machine stitched monogram or baby’s name. It measures 37″ x 37″. $350
